Joint Unemployment Insurance - Paid Leave Employer System
The Minnesota Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program conducts nearly all its business electronically. The program provides, at no charge, an electronic system for Minnesota employers to:
- Submit quarterly wage detail reports
- Pay UI taxes and Paid Leave premiums
- View and respond to UI program eligibility documents created after your former employee submits a benefit application.
- Perform necessary maintenance to their accounts, such as:
- address changes
- changes in ownership
- additions or deletions of reporting units
- Designate a Paid Leave Administrator
- Submit a request to opt-in for Paid Leave coverage
Because electronic government is more cost efficient than paper-based transactions, there is no process in place for handling paper forms. This is part of an ongoing effort to make the UI Program more efficient for the benefit of both employers and applicants.
Electronic self-service gives employers and applicants greater access to and control of their own UI accounts. It also provides more information to employers about unemployment benefits applications submitted by former employees that affect their unemployment accounts and/or tax rates.
Features of the online system:
You can search for documents using a range of dates, or view a list of all available documents, sorted by date created. These documents may be printed or saved to your computer for access later.
